Responsibilities

PeopleTec is currently seeking a Systems Engineer to support our Fort Belvoir, VA  location.

 

PeopleTec is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to support next-generation missile defense architecture analysis and system-of-systems assessments.  The successful candidate will contribute to the evaluation of architecture concepts, sensor and interceptor performance and command-and-control (C2) options using advanced modeling and simulation tools, including GTRI Benchmark model and/or AFSIM.

 

Duties:

  • Perform architecture trade studies, system performance assessments and capability gap analyses for missile defense systems and future integrated architectures.
  • Utilize Benchmark model to simulate ballistic and hypersonic threat engagements and evaluate system performance across multiple mission threads.
  • Develop and execute analysis scripts and data post-processing routines using MATLAB and other analytical tools.
  • Integrate modeling and simulation results from AFSIM, Benchmark or other environments to inform architecture design decisions.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in systems engineering or MBSE (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Proven experience in systems engineering supporting missile defense or other complex defense systems.
  • Expertise with GTRI Benchmark OR AFSIM modeling environments.
  • Strong understanding of MDA system architectures and experience performing analysis to assess potential performance.
  • Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • An active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Top Secret/SCI clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment. 

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related technical field; Master’s degree preferred.
