Software Engineer/Analyst

PeopleTec is currently seeking a Software Engineer/Analyst to support our Huntsville, AL location.

Responsibilities include support of the PEO M&S STORM PO SW Division managing software projects to include:

• The support to acquisition of missile tactical software development
• Testing and the deployment/fielding of software versions
• Review of software documentation
• Support agile events (sprint reviews, backlog grooming, sprint demonstrations, etc.)
• Participate in daily/weekly technical interchange meetings
• Azure DevOps experience
• DevSecOps project support
• Testing support (V&V)
• Candidate is expected to support all project milestone reviews
• Participate in IPTs, software design reviews, code reviews, test plan reviews, test report reviews, and problem report/issue reviews
• Tracking of contract deliverables
• Manage cost, schedule, and performance
• Tracking project metrics
• Provide weekly and periodic status reports and technical reports as requested

Required Skills/Experience:

• Knowledge of software development and systems engineering process
• Use of Microsoft Project in the assessment of developed software schedules
• Management of software requirements
• Application of risk management tools to assess development and performance risks
• Support to budget analyst in cost determinations for tactical software projects
• Understanding of Agile software development processes
• Candidate must possess SW engineering expertise understanding the Software Development Lifecycle and Agile practices.
• Candidate must be a team player and willing to work across multiple teams
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Develop and brief project presentations and status
• Familiarity with software languages; C, C++, C#, Python, Ada
• Travel: 10 %
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, Software Development, Systems Engineering, or other scientific field with 10+ years of relevant work experience is required.

Desired Skills:

• Desired project management expertise
• Support to integration testing with STORM launchers
• Experience with Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS)
• Embedded software development to industry best practices
