Electrical/Instrumentation Engineer

PeopleTec is seeking a Electrical/Instrumentation Engineer for an opportunity to support our Huntsville, AL/Redstone Arsenal location. 

Our team is looking for an exceptionally motivated self-starting Electrical Engineer with a deep background in electromagnetic, environment, and effects (E3) test and evaluation instrumentation of aviation & missile systems. The candidate will provide hands-on technical leadership to our growing team of cyber, space, and engineering professionals who design, implement, test, and deploy test tools and support of Army modernization programs and an Army T&E client. We are looking for an individual that possesses a solid working knowledge and experience base in the test instrumentation.

Required Skills/Experience:

• 8+years advanced experience in electromagnetic, environment, and effects (E3) instrumentation and/or test instrumentation
• Senior level of experience with the ability to design, fabricate, and oversee manufacturing of instrumentation based on testing requirements.
• Engineer will also be required to provide senior level advisement and consulting on existing instrumentation designs.
• Experience with EMI hardened instrumentation design & EM filtering
• Experience with missile systems, RS-422 and CAN bus communication protocols
• Extensive experience with Altium Designer, FPGA and micro-controllers
• Experience with design/manufacturing of battery packs based on test requirements.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to provide expert consultation and hands-on tasks required for electromagnetic, environment, and effects instrumentation
• Travel: <10 %
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• An active DoD Top Secret with ability obtain SCI clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Top Secret with ability obtain SCI clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

Education Requirements:

• BS in Electrical Engineering or STEM
• Advanced experience will be considered in lieu of degree

Desired Skills:

• MS in Electrical Engineering or STEM
• Direct experience with Army T&E instrumentation 
• Experience with Army Test & Evaluation Command and/or Redstone Test Center
